Statement from CannabizVA:
“We are disappointed that the General Assembly failed to pass a bill this session to regulate Virginia’s adult-use cannabis market. Cannabis remains legal for adults to possess and consume, however, there will be no lawful commercial production or sale of adult-use cannabis products for at least another year. Consequently, the illicit, black market will continue to proliferate at the expense of legitimate businesses and farmers here in the Commonwealth, potentially exposing countless Virginians to unregulated, untested, and unsafe products. CannaBizVA welcomes the opportunity to work with interested stakeholders to rectify this untenable position in earnest.”
